Sauron's spirit had survived the end of the Second Age and was growing in power in the fortress of Dol Guldur. The Nazgûl, including the Ringwraith of Forod, were all slain in the early Third Age and their bodies were buried in the High Fells of Rhudaur where they lay for many years. The Witch-king of Angmar led a war against the Men of Arnor in the early Third Age and the Ringwraith of Forod possibly took part in this war. ![]() He participated in Sauron's campaign against Middle-earth during the Second Age and was still active after his defeat during the War of the Last Alliance. He gave his allegiance to Sauron after the power of the One Ring bound his loyalty to the Dark Lord. He was a King of Men in Middle-earth that either was given a Ring of Power by Sauron or inherited it from one of the ringwraiths. ![]()
